Yesterday, Labor and the Greens shut me down. Today, I finally had my say. I stood up in the Senate to defend the thousands of everyday Australians who rallied peacefully on the weekend, Australians who are now being smeared simply for standing under our flag and saying: enough is enough. But the Greens couldn’t help themselves. They tried to silence me again, four separate times. Why? Because I was standing up for the very people they’re trying to tear down. The vast majority of those who rallied were peaceful, hardworking, ordinary Australians, workers, parents, veterans. United by a simple, powerful message: our country is being pushed too far, too fast. The message was simple: No to mass immigration and no to the radical Labor-Greens agenda that’s out of step with mainstream Australia. And how did Labor and the Greens respond? They didn’t listen. They didn’t engage. They tried to condemn you. To shut you down. To erase your voice from the national conversation. This is the new pattern in Australian politics. Speak up, and they try to shut you up. Love your country, and you're insulted and attacked. Defend your community and you're smeared. But here’s the truth: you are not alone. The so-called Productivity Round Table is the latest “kumbaya circle” from the same mob that brought you record debt, egg shortages, house ownership collapse and $6 iceberg lettuce. It’s being pitched as a place where “industry, government and unions come together to boost productivity.” Translation: a taxpayer-funded brainstorming session where bureaucrats, union reps and big business lobbyists pretend to solve a problem that they caused. They’ll call for more “migration pathways” which means more low-skilled visa churn from the subcontinent, not to fill niche skill gaps but to keep wages flat and rent high. They’ll talk about “equity in the workforce” and “gender-balanced industries” while SMEs are drowning in regulation, tax hikes and compliance costs just trying to pay this week’s BAS. The result isn’t productive. It’s population growth without infrastructure. It’s classrooms bursting, hospitals on bypass, tradies competing with Uber drivers for rentals and real wages going backwards. You want productivity? Slash the red tape. Stop punishing people who create value. Stop pretending adding millions more people to a broken system is anything but a Ponzi scheme. This round table’s not about productivity.
