The overnight roadworks on the #A1 northbound between J65 and J68 have been delayed and will not be complete by the scheduled finish time of 6am. The road remains closed. Crews are working to get this open as soon as possible

@HighwaysNEAST But obviously these debriefs/discussions aren’t having any impact as it’s been happening for months. In my eyes it’s the contractor trying to get the job done by the arranged completion date to get there Christmas bonuses. Absolute shambles

@ToonTickets1 Hi there, all works that overrun the pre-agreed end time are debriefed and discussions held.

The #A1 #northbound in #CountyDurham is closed between J65 (#Birtley) and J68 (#Gateshead) due to planned overnight roadworks which are overrunning. The works, which were due to be complete at 06:00 are now expected to be ongoing until 07:00. Allow extra time.
