Around 6 years ago, when I started contributing to @ergo_platform, tools for writing & compiling ErgoScript existed, but were quite limited. Every year I train new team members, and tools like this remind me how far we've come—and why Ergo is the best place for devs to grow.

Nearly 1400 days ago, we launched the first public raffle on #ergoraffle beta, an open-source crowdfunding Dapp on the @ergo_platform blockchain. After weeks in beta, we released the production-ready version, which has run as a decentralized app with no maintenance or governance, completing 88 successful raffles. Raffle v2, a potential killer app to boost Ergo’s adoption, is coming soon. Key features: - Raise funds or create lotteries in any Ergo token (e.g., #rsAssets like $rsBTC, $rsADA, $rsETH). - Support multiple winners with varied prize shares, ideal for large lotteries. - Offer extra prizes like tokens and NFTs to winners, added by anyone, not just the raffle creator. - Implement custom UI and earn from raffle fees. - Create time- or goal-based raffles. - Raffle's income will be distributed among the token holders. - open-source and decentralized. - upvote/downvote raffles - A refundable raffle creation fee to avoid scams. - Potentially, many other features (not available at launch), like donation proxies. i.e., Pay directly on Cardano to donate to a raffle on Ergo.
