All week, we have been conducting research and debating their bills in Committees in the House of Representatives. Today, the bills that survived committee were debated on the floor. We passed one bill, which will be sent to the Senate on Monday!

Should ValenSLIMEs day become a new tradition?? I’m thinking definitely.

Happy ValenSLIMES Day! This afternoon, we surprised students with an experiment to discover whether making slime is a physical or chemical change. 💚🧪 @CMorganBES

Today students presented physical & chemical changes. Students shared their learning by creating engaging and informative videos, power points, sketch notes, & Adobe creations. So proud!

We loved enriching our study of WW2 today by examining artifacts from one of the @teachingmuseum Traveling Trunks!

We are SO very fortunate to have @Counselor_SMcG at @TheBarnwellBeat ! She is the BEST at putting our Bears first!! 🎉🤗🐻

Argument writing: After researching the pros and cons of chocolate milk, students worked together to write their evidence on index cards, group them into categories, then label them with reasons. Now we have carefully developed claims, reasons, and evidence for both sides!

What a day! We surprised students with Olympics Day - a full day of games and challenges with their fifth grade Houses. Such a fun way to review our learning and apply problem solving skills. Nothing but smiles from this crew!

We learned a lot this semester… including about each other! Students wrapped up our class party with a 48 clue crossword puzzle - where their names were the answers! @CMorganBES

During our class party, students had a blast creating their own trivia questions and playing a game of Trust No One on @gimkit! @CMorganBES

It’s rare to see fifth graders play games like Duck Duck Goose - this spontaneous game from this morning shows that they’ll do anything for their Kindergarten buddies! 💕🐻
