Congratulations to Orla in year 8 who scored 54 for our link club @Hursleyladies in the national cup last 16 game today. Hursley won and are through to the last 8 in the country!

And we still have the girls representing Hampshire at the regional U15 cricket finals on Monday !

Disappointing end to a great state school cricket cup run losing to a good Kings school in the final. We had our chances but just didn’t quite play to our potential today. Still overall a successful week with both yr7 and yr8 boys winning their cricket leagues!

Great days cricket for Toynbee. School first team girls won the Hampshire Chance to Compete Festival and will now represent Hampshire at the regionals. Boys year 7 made it three wins out of three in the league.

Great win for U13 cricket team in semi final of the Hants Cup. Opposition bowled out for 46 all bowlers performing well and some excellent catching ! Medi the leading wicket taker with 3 We then scored 48-0 with Wilf 31 not out Full details of the final as soon as we get them

Good luck to our U13 girls Handball team who are off to the National Finals tomorrow !

Brilliant evening for our cricket teams. Our Girls 1st Team secured a 1 run win in a very close game at Home. Our U13 Boys came out on top in a thriller.

On Wednesday 3 Toynbee teams competed in the Hampshire round of the National Track & Field Cup. 40 pupils (only 3 club athletes), 68 individual performances 42 personal bests. Y10/9 Boys: 2nd Y8/7 Girls: 4th Y8/7 Boys 4th Waiting to see if any teams progress to the regionals.

Great afternoon hosting some local schools’ Y8s for field events & relays. Well done to our pupils that attended and seniors who helped officiate! Great to see some new faces representing the school!

Another win for our U13 cricket team in the Hampshire state school cup. Wilf (38*) & Rish put on 70 for the opening partnership. With Y7 pair Crispy & Frenchy seeing out the innings of 124/4 (20). The Toynbee team then bowled the opposition out for 80 with 10 bowlers being used.

This week’s Friday fixture was a Y7&8 friendly track event for those not normally selected. Great opportunity for these to experience an inter school competition on a proper track. Lots of PBs & even more smiles!
