@streuselberg @escapefrommelos That's what they're for, though. There's different models and charges for different targets, and battery life is typically pretty limited. Taking out an enemy soldier with a drone that costs a couple hundred bucks is a pretty good trade.
English

@TransRightsMFer @escapefrommelos ah yes, the classic libtard reversal. Not wasted an FPV drone on a single russian target. Next question
English

two things that “radicalized” me about this useless stupid war:
1) these videos are often posted with masturbatory glee
2) the victims are always uniformed but very often unarmed and without helmets… almost like they’re PoWs who have been released and hunted on video for sport

Feels like a predator playing with prey before the inevitable🇷🇺 Historical Footage shows a Ukrainian FPV drone chasing a lone Russian soldier in the field!
English

@streuselberg @escapefrommelos Ok, so what should the Ukrainian drone operator have done in this situation?
English

@TransRightsMFer @escapefrommelos Lol you seem really sure of yourself despite having nothing other than your belief that the 'oppressed' cannot commit war crimes to back you up, but keep believing whatever suits your worldview
English

@streuselberg @escapefrommelos No, I'm assuming he's behind Russian lines. Hence why it would be impossible to take him prisoner if he did surrender, which he didn't.
English

@TransRightsMFer @escapefrommelos Your point literally makes no sense--you're assuming he's behind ukranian lines? Doing what, a supply run on a main road with almost no supplies?
English

@streuselberg @escapefrommelos Yeah nah man, that's not the same thing as laying down arms. Also not something you would do if you were travelling through enemy territory by yourself.
English

@TransRightsMFer @escapefrommelos That doesn't look like a 'cart of supplies' lol, that looks like he's put his ruck and gear in a wheelbarrow. Which he has abandoned (effectively disarming himself) before the beginning of the video.
English

@streuselberg @escapefrommelos Guess I can't prove it was his, but seems like a logical assumption that someone else didn't just leave it there in the road and the drone just happened to find him while he was walking by it.

English

@TransRightsMFer @escapefrommelos lol do you have some kind of video that I don't? No cart of supplies is shown in the video...
English

@deidarasan007 @escapefrommelos Russian soldiers do what they're told, or else they get tortured and sent to the storm units, which is basically a death sentence.
English

@TransRightsMFer @escapefrommelos So you're saying that one dude drags this cart alone for miles? Listen, if I had seen such videos for the first time, I would have believed it, but even the poorest Russian soldier would not engage in such nonsense.
English

@streuselberg @escapefrommelos I can't imagine why he would be pushing a cart of supplies, by himself and seemingly without a helmet or rifle, for any reason other than logistics behind the contact line.
English

So, 1. You're assuming he's armed, 2. you're assuming they're behind Russian lines. Neither of which is shown clearly in the video. We're additionally, and suspiciously, not shown the beginning of the engagement with the drone.
But whatever man, you just wanna shout slava ukraine and not think about the actual real world situation
English

@streuselberg @escapefrommelos Exactly, you can't tell because of the video quality and the fact that an FPV can't search someone. He could have a sidearm, grenades, a knife? And being unarmed because you're working in the rear isn't the same as laying down arms. Continuing to run away also isn't surrender.
English

@TransRightsMFer @escapefrommelos lol please show me his weapons in the referenced video
English

@streuselberg @escapefrommelos It's not an inconvenience if the soldier is in Russian territory with no Ukrainian units around for miles, it's an impossibility. And he didn't lay down weapons.
English

@TransRightsMFer @escapefrommelos So you've somehow missed the part where it explicitly states that nothing changes about the prohibitions just because the attacker would be inconvenienced in taking them prisoner.
And the part, earlier, where laying down arms is enough to signal hors de combat.
English

@deidarasan007 @escapefrommelos You can see the cart full of supplies he had in the middle of the road.
English

@TransRightsMFer @escapefrommelos one more time. A guy without a gun and helmet is alone in the field. What supplies does he deliver? One clip and two grenades? Don't write your nonsense if you don't understand how ammunition is delivered and soldiers are rotated.
English

@Cur10_W0r1D @escapefrommelos The opposite, actually. Drone units get "points" to spend on more and better gear when they take out enemy personnel and equipment, and they don't get any for suicides.
English

Hell, these vids are probably helping them rake in revenue on social media. Too many psychotic demons who enjoy watching this kinda stuff. Not to mention the psychological warfare value they are gaining from this. They toy with these poor souls in the hope that they'll off themselves so they can save the drone for another target.
Drone warfare is pure nightmare fuel and every real military on the planet needs to be training for it.
English

@streuselberg @escapefrommelos The thing here is that this guy wasn't a prisoner because drones can't take prisoners, and is not hors de combat. He's an enemy soldier who did not attempt to surrender, is not incapacitated, and was performing his duties prior to the drone's arrival. He was a valid target.
English

@streuselberg @escapefrommelos I generally side with the oppressed group, so yeah I suppose that's why I'm pro-Ukraine and whatnot. But you don't know the situation here, where it took place and if it would've been possible to take him prisoner in the first place. Guessing this is behind Russian lines.
English

Aren't you supposed to be enlightened or something? Isn't that why you have to put all those flags in your username?
While there is no geneva convention explicitly stating that someone being unarmed and alone makes them an invalid target, the fact that they are not even presented with the opportunity to surrender is troubling at the least. And there are definite cases where the FPV drone still attacks even when they're surrendering.
English

@streuselberg @escapefrommelos I don't see the irony, but yeah, being unarmed and alone doesn't suddenly make you an invalid target.
English

@TransRightsMFer @escapefrommelos Also the irony of being like YEAH HUNT THEM DOWN AND KILL THEM NO MATTER IF THEY'RE ARMED AND ALONE when you're some troon rights fag
English

@Mogwai_47 @escapefrommelos This is the actual footage of war, but they post plenty of videos of FPVs hitting clearly armed soldiers, vehicles, etc. as well.
English

@TransRightsMFer @escapefrommelos Because the actual footage of war doesn’t make good media content to make tards on X think Russia is losing
English

@DadRaffi @escapefrommelos Where's the war crime?
English

@escapefrommelos These videos are fucking disgusting. This is war crimes
English

@streuselberg @escapefrommelos Where's the surrender here?
English

@escapefrommelos honestly hadn't considered that but the fact that they don't stop when they're surrendering makes it legitimate war crimes
English

@Mogwai_47 @escapefrommelos Why would they do that when there's plenty of Russian soldiers they can kill?
English

@escapefrommelos Thats exactly what this is: released POW that is being executed for media footage
English

@deidarasan007 @escapefrommelos Or guys bringing supplies, rotating in or out, changing positions, doing recon, sent in alone, or any number of more plausible alternatives.
English

@escapefrommelos There is always 1 soldier in the video and always somewhere in an open field without weapons and helmets . It's obviously a prisoner
English

@The4w3s0m3 @escapefrommelos You can literally see this guy was bringing a cart of supplies to/from the front before the drone got him. And why would Ukraine waste valuable resources to kill even more valuable POWs in this manner?
English

@escapefrommelos Good observation.
In those videos the victims never shoot the drones because they are always unarmed.
This is just a cowardly way to execute prisoners of war.
All drone operators should be hanged after the war.
And so should the people masturbating to those videos.
