After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

@News4SA It is wild to me that he isn't favored. I think he is barely top 30 offensively (maybe not even - just my opinion), but he is so good on defense that he is easily the top player in the league. He should be DPOY, MIP, and MVP. maybe the next best candidate for MIP is Castle.

Understand what Neera is arguing for here: she thinks that no Democratic candidate should appear on any podcast where a host has flirted with conspiracy theories around Charlie Kirk and Israel. I don't think she understands how many podcasts that includes. And if you make the opposite argument, and say no, actually, tens of millions of people love those shows, Democrats should be on them, she says I'm "defending anti-semitic conspiracy podcasters." The good news is that this stuff doesn't work anymore. Save your breath, nobody cares.

@Josh810 It has gotten to the point that players should boycott playing the thunder until the league kicks him out or suspends him for a meaningful period (the season?). That shit has no business in the league. It is a matter of time before he ends some star’s career.

The U.S. has been slapping around Iran for a decade. They did nothing after Trump killed Qasem Soleimani, a revered figure (in Iran AND Iraq). They did nothing after Trump "completely and totally obliterated" Iran's nuclear sites last year. But now we're supposed to believe Iran is the biggest baddest monster in the world.

@BiasedHouston As a Spurs fan, I'm glad we got him, but you are absolutely right. He is already capable of being a 20 & 10 player on a team that asked him to carry more of a load. He's a pretty good rebounder too, so I bet he would get an occasional triple double.

In order to not care about the Epstein story, you have to fundamentally not care about the idea of democracy. The Epstein story is a window into the way a small group of people who nobody elected make unaccountable decisions to enrich and to pleasure themselves at the expense of the public and at the expense of particular direct victims, some of them children, who are left with no recourse. This is the public's chance to see some of these people at work. Shame may be the only accountability we get. To not care about that means you're basically okay with a world run by an unaccountable elite.

Make it look more like vet care. It sounds crazy until you think about it. we have an example of an extremely well functioning and relatively affordable healthcare system. Imagine a scenario where your animal swallows something, needs diagnostic imaging, mediation, sedation, emergency surgery and post op care. You are looking at a vet bill for a few grand. Now imagine that’s a kid…
