It is very interesting that when the MAGA crowd finds out that the US needs international medical graduates to fill MD jobs that American medical graduates do not want to do, they immediately flip from "all MDs are greedy pill pushers that make us sick", to "only Americans should be greedy pill pushers that make us sick".

Again, she is being completely dishonest. Notice that unmatched American grads are stable. Why? If foreigners are stealing seats, shouldn't that number be INCREASING? It's because she's either lying or stupid. Foreigners are mostly filling spots that Americans don't want.

@TripleThinkLabs @MaryBowdenMD Most foreign grads are taking internal medicine and family medicine slots in very rural areas that most us students won’t even consider. Almost no US medical students fail to match unless they have serious red flags or only applied to a very competitive specialty.

Over the past 10 years, the US has seen a steady rise in foreign medical students taking US student residency spots.
Every year, 1000+ US medical students fail to match, while 6000+ FMGs do match. About half of unmatched students find a spot, but they must still compete with FMGs for the leftover positions, leaving 500 - 600 US medical students with a worthless medical degree.
