I sold my car for $12,000. The buyer transferred the money, I confirmed it was in my account, handed over the keys, and transferred the ownership. Two weeks later, I checked my account and nearly had a heart attack. The $12,000 was gone. Apparently, the buyer contacted his bank and claimed the transfer was sent by mistake. So now, he has my car… and I’m left fighting to get my money back. I have all our messages, proof of the sale, and the ownership transfer documents. I contacted my bank immediately, and they’re investigating. I still can’t understand how someone can buy a car, drive away with it, and then have the payment taken back weeks later. What would you do if this happened to you?
