The fiat era has produced historically high global inflation, soaring debt, and extended business cycles. ….none of which are sustainable forever. No fiat has lasted indefinitely without major debasement or reset. Gold and silver, by contrast, have endured for millennia as true stores of value because their supply can’t be arbitrarily inflated. One ounce of gold bought roughly the same real goods (like a suit or bushel of wheat) in ancient times as it does today. …stability that fiat has never matched.
