The best teams ship faster not because they're bigger, but because they're better at staying on the same page.

Sadly, ChatGPT JD generators aren't advanced enough yet to include that aspect, which seems to be why it's overlooked.

Bullshit management should be at the very top of responsibilities list in many JDs nowadays.

The sprint to the finish line... Product launch deadlines. Bug fixes. Performance issues. Security patches. It all piles up, and fast. Sometimes, day-to-day management feels like a race against the clock. But here's what I've learned - keeping pace won't cut it. Leadership isn't about being the fastest coder in the room. Or having all the answers. It's about building a team that can stay ahead of challenges, adapt to change, and deliver. It's time that we start redefining what success looks like for technical leaders. Rather than gauging success solely on delivery times, we should focus on building a culture of learning, collaboration, and improvement. So, let's slow down for a second. Take a step back and ask yourself - are you running towards the finish line or leading your team there?

Legacy code is underrated in software engineering. Managers and developers should learn how to show more respect for it. Why? • If it's still there, that means it works - it's tested, and it does the job. • It created business value, and chances are, the company afforded to hire you because of that. • Someone wrote it - they probably created the best job they could. Judging by today's standard is just unreasonable. Finally, I wish every developer success in creating a legacy. You should be proud if, 10 years later, someone cared to open your code to fix something.

No matter all these marketing hustles I still consider myself an #SoftwareEngineer. And I read engineering content a lot, particularly #newsletters. Today's morning hasn't have been that insightful if I wasn't checking every link from the @TsTrv CTO insights issue 💪🏼

Here is what I run into... Back-to-back meetings are burning our brains - research from Microsoft. They measured the brain activity of 14 individuals, and the results are crazy. Going on a break.
