@FolklandsGame @perfect_pick_ It's very hard to make a good game, and if you pick a genre just based on "sells well on average" when you don't really care about it, you won't be able to make a game that's actually good. Players can usually tell, there's a lot of generic stuff on Steam.

@FolklandsGame @perfect_pick_ Price points based on genre are definitely a thing, I'd recommend surveying the genres you're interested in, there's often quite clear patterns (in reviews too) As for the best genre, IMO the one you actually like so that you end up building something exceptional and unique :)

@perfect_pick_ @FolklandsGame there's many genres where price at $15 would be totally unreasonable, not every indie game is expected to be AAA-ish ... for example vampire survivors games, no matter how good, rarely cost that much

@FolklandsGame Unpopular opinion : Solid indie games (not asset flips) sold below 15€/$ (or equivalent) are sending the wrong message. Dev perspective : "hey my game is cheap, you are going to have fun without paying much". Buyer persspective : "if the game was good, it would cost more".

@DivineStudi0s Damn this looks absolutely amazing. This is with HDRP right? I can't imagine URP could do reflections like that.
