As part of the operations plan for Taylor Park Reservoir, releases from Taylor Park Dam were reduced from 250 cfs to 225 cfs as of August 19, 2025. The next release change will be decided at the September Taylor Local Users Group meeting on September 4, 2025, at 8:30 a.m.

There was an error in the August 14, 2025, edition of the Gunnison Country Times concerning potential DROA emergency releases. Potential releases out of CRSP reservoirs, which includes Blue Mesa Reservoir, may be considered in 2026 not 2025 depending on future hydrology.

As part of the operations plan for Taylor Park Reservoir, releases will remain at 300 cfs through at least August 5th and possibly through August 15th pending available hydrology and a meeting of the Taylor Local Users Group.

From the Bureau of Reclamation: Releases from Taylor Park Dam will be increased to 300 cfs today, July 1st. The next release change will be scheduled on July 10th, 2025 at the Taylor Local Users Group (TLUG) Meeting. For more information, please call the UGRWCD at (970)641-6065.

Please be advised, due to personnel issues at Taylor Park dam, the release schedule has changed to the following: There will be a reduction from 275 to 250 today. 10/7 - 225 cfs 10/9 - 200 cfs 10/11 – 175 cfs 10/14 – 150 cfs 10/16 – 125 cfs 10/18 - 100 cfs 10/21 - 85 cfs

As part of the commissioning process for the Taylor River Hydroplant, Uncompahgre Valley Water Users Assoc will be flushing the penstock, ramping the plant up and down, so expect flow fluctuations of approx 50 cfs through the weekend. The flows will then be stabilized at 300 cfs
