UNB ranked #1 in Canada for Research Quality in Engineering 🎉 We are excited to have been recognized as the top university in Canada for research quality in Engineering, according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026. This distinction highlights our national leadership in engineering for research quality, including citation impact, research strength, research excellence and influence, as well as the scale of innovation happening across our institution: ✅ Nearly 75% of all publicly sponsored research in New Brunswick takes place at UNB. ✅ More than 75 engineering spin‑offs and start-ups are fuelled by $43 million in annual research funding. ✅ Every undergraduate program at UNB offers research opportunities. We’re honoured by this distinction, and even more proud of the people whose dedication, curiosity and leadership make achievements like this possible. #ProudlyUNB #DoMore #TopRanked Learn more about our Faculty of Engineering ➡️ bit.ly/478SDhZ

NASA’s Artemis II mission is expected to begin its journey around the moon this year, and UNB is thrilled to be tracking the Orion spacecraft! NASA has selected UNB as one of only three Canadian contributors helping to track Orion during its 10‑day moon mission. Our involvement brings together the expertise of #CubeSatNB, the department of electrical & computer engineering, the department of geodesy and geomatics engineering and the UNB Earth Station—a powerhouse team supporting hands‑on learning and research in satellite communications. As part of a global network of academic partners, commercial providers and volunteer stations, UNB will help passively track Orion’s radio signals on its voyage and orbit of the moon, contributing real data to a historic mission. Artemis II marks NASA’s first crewed mission to the moon in over 50 years. Four astronauts will launch aboard the Space Launch System rocket, travel around the moon in Orion, and return to Earth. They will test critical life‑support, navigation and communication systems to pave the way for future lunar exploration. 🔭 Want to learn more?
