After a chilly weekend, the jet stream has eased back to the north in a ridge pattern that will allow Charlotte temperatures to rise back to the 80's by Wednesday. Not record heat, but we recommend leaving the jackets and sweaters on the hanger! Warming Trend for the Work Week

We are seeing very mild temperatures in the Charlotte metro area today. These temps will be here to stay for the next few days, with a bit of a warm up on Saturday before the rain comes in

We've been under some moderate to severe drought conditons for the past few months, but it won't last long as we are looking at some rain potential on Sunday!

Why was it so warm today? We saw warmer temperatures today due to a ridging pattern in the jet stream

Good Afternoon Charlotte! Expect some rain showers this afternoon across the piedmont before sunshine finally returns later in the week. Currently 47 degrees here in the Queen city right now. Look for sunny skies and temperatures in the low 50's as we look towards the weekend.

Winter storm watch issued for the Charlotte metro and surrounding areas until 1:00 PM EST 1/26/26. Up to half an inch of ice and widespread power outages possible.
