These events come at no cost to family members. We encourage you to join us and enjoy an array of opportunities to explore the UNC Chapel-Hill campus and visit your student.

As of 2:00pm, 9/1/2021 all ticketed Carolina Family Weekend events are sold out, but you can still register to attend the weekend. While there are select ticketed events, most events, open houses, and exhibits are offered to visiting families on a first come first served basis.

Once we have resolved the system issues, we will notify all families of a new date and time for registration.

We understand that many families have taken time out of their days in order to register for this event, and we share the frustration that the registration issues today and yesterday have caused. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The Carolina Family Weekend reservation system is down for maintenance. A resolution is the top priority of the Student Affairs IT team.

Unfortunately, due to forecasted severe inclement weather this evening, New Student Convocation will now be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 16, at Kenan Stadium, instead of today (Sunday, Aug. 15).
