@smitaprakash We live in a society where such measures are mandatory. Do this also to the ghutka spitters, litterbugs traffic violattors, etc. This public shaming is the only antidote that can change the Indian 'chalta hain' and ' jantha hain mera baap kaun hain' mindset.

This is in no way punishment for crimes, it must be law that prevails, not this medieval public shaming. If it’s being done for public catharsis and stopping them from committing retributive acts then okay. But speedy justice is needed.

At the Morjim beach in Goa, was walking in the morning and found several pieces of broken glass bottles on the beach, we picked up 8-9 pieces I don’t know what’s wrong with people. Many of them just under water and it can cut the feet easily, where is civic sense!

Nikhil lost his wallet in Japan with important cards inside. They reached the police station, and the officer simply said, “Please wait 15-20 minutes.” A few minutes later, the officer came back… with the wallet. Unreal. Highly recommend watching that vlog just to understand how trust works in Japan. People actually find things on the road and drop them at the police station. Different level of civic sense. Unbelievable.

I sometimes wonder what it would be like living outside Mumbai / India without the constant stress and overwhelm due to bad roads, honking, traffic, encroached footpaths, no open spaces, people spitting everywhere, unclean public washrooms etc etc. So much of our overwhelm, anxiety and poor mental / physical health can be attributed to this but we are all silently suffering.
