Why do I believe Blokyz can build a successful IP in Web3? Got asked this on a call earlier this week. Sat with it for a bit and figured I will just write down where my head is at. Honestly it's a valid question. There are only a handful of real success stories among Web3 IPs. Pudgy, Clayno, GVC, Chimpers, Quirkies and a few others have done really well; many others have tried, but with limited success. The biggest problem in my view is distribution. A lot of web3 IPs try to crack it by going after web2 audiences and that bridge is rough. We've seen it from both sides. Our team has spent years scaling IPs for some of the top gaming brands in web2. And a couple of years ago we also bootstrapped a comic marketplace where we onboarded 500+ web2 creators onto web3 monetisation rails. For every creator who came on, we were probably talking to five. Four out of those five would back out the moment web3 or NFTs came up. They thought it was a scam. I believe that changes as the space matures. But right now, that bridge is real. So we're going the other way. We want to grow inside web3 first. Work with the brands and communities that are already here and make high quality designer collectibles for them. The collectibles are central to our vision. Something physical you can hold, place on your desk builds a connection that something only digital can't. Currently we are already working with 20+ web3 brands who have over 15M+ users between them. That gives us a way to show up in front of real communities, organically, with something special and tangible in their hands. We are also building our own universe of characters in parallel that will give us the freedom to explore the IP through various lenses in the long term. But the partnerships and the collectibles is what will give us reach among real collectors early on. Building an IP takes years. We know that. But if someone asks me why I think we have a shot - this is it!

@OriginalBlokyz Nice website but my personal opinion, I don’t think there should be that video playing fullscreen when I get into the website, it feels like I have to watch a ad or skip a ad before going in, and if you scrolled back up to the top of the website too, it plays in full screen

I hate founders who switch up their attitude after they gain couple followers pre-mint. You'll go back to irrelvancy after mint. Stay grounded.🙃

I’ve mainly been sticking to well established blue chips these days, but one project that’s really caught my eye is @OriginalBlokyz these dudes have been building organically and gaining momentum for an extremely long time now, I personally think they are doing everything right to have a strong foundation set as they step into the ip and nft market! set your notifications on them fam!

Honest thoughts on @OriginalBlokyz Thanks to @Ukj1111 for jumping on a call a few days back, spending close to 2 hours on a call, the best way to really get clear idea of the project's intentions. FYI - I’ve not been sent any Blokyz merch in return for this post - this is my honest take on what's being built, without me divulging too many specifics. Solid founding team with lots of expertise in both web2 & web3. No external funding taken to date, all up until now has been self funded. If we take a look at their twitter, everything they put out screams quality. Partnerships, Videos, Collectables. Physical Collectables The physical collectables they have been shipping to the community are some of the best quality I’ve seen. And feels like their main focus is moving forward. Anyone on the timeline that I’ve seen have one of these shipped, have been very happy with the quality of the packaging & product. It feels like a collectible that will be cherished, not just thrown to the side. Recently I’ve seen some "physical collectables” that I know people have been waiting for months to receive, they just look pass-produced and very low quality. We’ve seen them partner with top tier web3 projects, from CEX, L2, Memecoins, AI (shows the quality of the teams connections already). The one thing missing here is possibly cross-pollination of NFT projects - but I would not be surprised if this is in the works! KuCoin - 3.5M Followers CoinGecko - 2.4M Followers Arbitrium - 1.1M Followers Kaspa - 241K Followers Brett - 145.7K Followers Ponke - 142.5K Followers Turbo - 110.2K Followers Moodeng - 101.5K Followers Saros - 85.9K Followers Aikek - 7,124 Followers Web3 & IP is a really difficult one to crack. UJ mentioned in a recent post there are only really a few brands that really stand out in web3 on this front - Pudgy, Clayno, GVC, Chimpers, Quirkies.. "TMA Effect" Twitter launched in early Nov, 2025. With partnerships like CoinGeko the team generated some huge impressions on posts. Apart from the partnerships posts, engagement has been consistent but since the end of April, things really feel like they have been turbo charged. April 29th, @Tma_420 advisor announcement - which anyone in the NFT space would be taking seriously. February - 5 posts - 7994.8 avg impressions March - 4 posts - 7167.25 avg impressions April - 5 posts - 12,879 avg impressions [TMA added] May - 10 posts -23,838.3 avg impressions June - 1 posts - 21,808 avg impressions Summary Won’t be sharing all the juicy details from the call, but I like what I hear, there are very few pre mint NFTs that really take my fancy right now - but this is certainly top of the list. I really like the sound of the mint process (I hope you have your WL ready!) - key for me will be around supply & mint price, we do love to see some organic price discovery on secondary over teams looking to really extract as much as possible. But I do really like what I hear from the team here to really make the whole process as transparent and interesting to all. Can Blokyz become the next big web3 IP? Only time will tell, the team are hungry and knows what it takes. If they continue to push out the quality collectables, partnerships, and build that solid post mint community - all things point to a bright future. Feels like there is a real business being built behind the scenes here…. Revenue generating mid to long term focus is what I really want to see.
