@haalasback Nah western fans always had this weird fixation and the need for everything to "fit together". I was seeing it in the 90s as well and not just with anime. Japan litterally don't give a shit about canon. Look up the work of Leiji Matsumoto for exemple, and he wasn't an exception

@titanictitan26 I've seen the reports as well, but I don't think he'll come cheap and Onimusha is still in its second stage revival status (Capcom does Remaster/Remake, Collection, Sequel + projects such as TV/OVAs & whatnot), so I doubt they'd risk it right now. Let's hope the new game is good.

One of the reasons FF has been struggling, other than the other than a lack of in game consistency, is the absurd amount of time in between releases. These two issues combined will only continue to alienate people rather than familiarize them with what to expect from FF.

What's funny is that the PREQUEL trilogy is where the Dune inspiration shows, not the OT. But more importantly, I think it shows how little people know about contemporary sci-fi when they attribute inspiration to Dune and not the Foundation series.

(1/4) I presume you mean internally & not with the fan base. So Capcom has a whole process with making Resident Evil games, & metrics they measure to predict how they'll perform & be received. This is not unusual at all for AAA game dev these days. Resident Evil games usually

Resident Evil Requiem funnily enough ended up almost precisely where I heard & had been saying for a while length wise, longer than Resident Evil Village but a bit shorter than RE:4.

@ScreechP1ays @AestheticGamer1 My understanding is that RE0 was meant to come first, but ran into dev issues unlike RECV And RECV is a mainline game, if anything it's bonkers they didn't dit it before and I blame it on some fans not accepting it as a mainline game just cos it doesn't have a number.
