Rapid snowmelt at Ness Lake this week in response to warm weather! Good timing as we close our snow tracking game for @UnbcE Snow & Ice classes today. Temperatures >17C at Ness Lake yesterday, sure sign spring is here!

In today's Snow & Ice class we discussed the great disparity between snow depth in downtown Prince George (10-20 cm) to the UNBC campus (40-50 cm) & Ness Lake/Tabor Lake (~60 cm) & much more in mountains! Ness Lake peaked at 72 cm with last weekend's storm but now melting away...
