A powerful tornado was seen spinning near Vance Air Force Base in Oklahoma, forcing it to close on Thursday. Video shows the massive size of the twister as it moved across Enid, a city of about 50,000 people in Garfield County near the state's northern border. The tornado ripped roofs off buildings and knocked down power poles. An EF0 tornado was confirmed yesterday in Machias once again, the tornado capital of NYS. 2 tornados in the same spot in 2 weeks!!

There is a 5% tornado risk for today in Central New York from near Rochester to the eastern edge of the Adirondack Mountains. HRRR soundings show surface based CAPE values in excess of 2000 with weak to moderate wind shear. The main uncertainty will be storm mode/location #nywx

There was another tornado in Machias New York earlier tonight, almost in the same exact place of the EF-1 tornado 2 weeks ago. Absolutely insane!!
