@htomufc All of this seems to be materialising. I think the biggest concern for me next season will be if Yoro steps up as Rcb we need someone with pace and aerial ability and he needs to show its him

There are big concerns from people on here I respect in regards to Carrick, I’ll give me two pence on them; —Speed of play + possession concerns I think are massively improved with quality, Carrick’s Boro side were a very dominant possession team so long-term those ideas would become very apparent. But right now, there’s a need to finish as strong as we can & changes to a 5 last night at 2-0 and in other games have clearly hit that home. This is also a manager who had ‘no plan B’ in the Championship but had shown pretty good adaptiveness. —Out of Possession, now for me THIS is where my main concerns lie. We press with a +1 in the backline, it’s more zonal, it usually leaves one CB free (the weaker one) to try and curve the ball and trap it to one side. However, good quality teams have players to play around our forwards and directly into midfield from the FB, the Fulham game. Now this is something I noted heavily at Boro, it was a bit more passive. At United right now, I think it’s purely because it suits the players, guards the centre & masks flaws in 1v1s. It also allows us to reserve energy off the ball to hit big spaces on the break like for Sesko’s goal & many more. —Summer transition is one where I think the football overall only gets better with time in the summer, added quality and rhythm. No surprises our dips in performances come after longer periods between matches, this squad is pretty robust they need time, rhythm & consistent game time; look at Kobbie’s sharpness recently now. I also think Carrick barely has any options off the bench to manage games hence the Sesko bench situation. In an ideal world United would sign; —Aggressive flying LB or *use Dorgu* who can get more energy provide the LW support & phase Shaw out [Malik Diouf + Balde] —Ball-playing CM who accelerates play, probably someone who still has the physical/technical blend though, a runner who could work with Kobbie but has a different approach to their possession, a bit more power in the passing. A punch passer. [Elliot Anderson, Lamine Camara + Bouabbi] —Ball-winning CM (Case replacement) who has rangy tackling, good engine, box to box, defensive transition guy, can jump in the press, set the tone, + if needed attack the box from deep. [Tchouameni, Baleba, Tonali, Sangare] —Additional CM who can just bring depth in quality, a smart niche buy, an all-rounder if possible, can land on their feet in any situation but still would edge it more to a ball-winner. Could also be a project CM. [Pape Gueye, Djaoui Cissé, James Garner] —Traditional LW who can hold width, come inside when needed, combine, create but is cleaner technically than a Cunha/Mbeumo to hold the ball and sync attacks [Barcola, Ndiaye, Rashford back???] —A second CF to balance minutes out with Sesko, bring quality in depth and be more of a ready-made player now. Again be smart with funds here. [Welbeck??] —I wouldn’t want to overcook on the CBs right now, personally. MDL, Maguire, Licha, Heaven, Yoro, Shaw?, I think this would be one of my last positions to address. Heaven is developing nice & Yoro needs to step up. If it’s a LCB though I’d look at… [Canvot, Solet, VDV]

Been thinking about what manager I want at Man United permanently next season long and hard for a few weeks now and I still don’t have a clue who I’d like it to be.

@Azzarrio Yeah but hes got 5 years here left by which time Cunha will be 31 so not his successor. He was never going to reach Brunos level hes a handy option to have

@UtdDevil95 Bruno will be gone eventually, ofc he’s a rotational player but questions should be asked especially if we sign a lw.

@MardyFM @Faaabianskiii I expect more from Amad he needs to step up. Personally, having seen Tzolis before I wouldnt love Utd signing him. But he could still be a good signing. Maybe hes a bargain. Never said hes a bad signing or player. I was just replying to post saying no concerns about him in Prem

@UtdDevil95 @Faaabianskiii And you think he was worth the 37m euros all paid up, more so than Tzolis who has scored 10+ goals in Europe and dropped three consecutive 30 G/A+ seasons. I agree it's not all G/A but these two lads are forwards. No G/A, no real contribution.

Not concerned about Tzolis making the step up to the PL from the Belgian League. You remember who else also did the same quite seamlessly? The very player he’s likely going to replace on the left

Note that Amorim sold Matteus Fernandes when he was at Sporting And he would have done the same to Mainoo These 2 are about to be out pivot for the next couple years Amorim would have prevented this to play wrestlers in the midfield instead of technicians

@MardyFM @Faaabianskiii He missed a penalty in a cup game and that might have affected him but he did not recover mentally

@MardyFM @Faaabianskiii He literally was one of our record signings not some young player who didnt get games. He made mistakes then was left out of the team for his mentality and then when Norwich went down he was even poor in the championship. He wasnt standing out at youth level

@MardyFM @Faaabianskiii I literally only replied to say he struggled in English football before and now you are sending me other successes? Great? Im not denying plenty of players adapt, but some don't. Im not making out hes bad. I'm just saying surely there are some concerns. Why does that bother you?

@MardyFM @Faaabianskiii I said Amad was doing pretty good. The game isnt just g+a. He still needs to improve. But you seem to be taking something completely different from what I am saying. How can you have no concerns about a player adapting to English football when he was previously poor here?

@MardyFM @Faaabianskiii Like as someone who watches all Norwich games surely its something worth contributing that he wasnt good in the championship 3 years ago so obviously it should still be a concern whether he is as good in England. He could end up being really good but you cant be confident

@Abalabubbub @Faaabianskiii He was a major signing for Norwich. One of their record signings at the time. I watched every game and he wasn't up to it. Obviously he can improve. The point isn't whether hes good. The og post said he has no concern over adaptation. Makes no sense when he had 2 bad seasons here

@takeeeasy @Faaabianskiii Eh? I'm replying to someone saying he doesn't have a concern. It clearly is a concern. What does Harry Kane have to do with it? We are talking about adaptation from another league
