International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a day to honor the 6 million Jewish victims & millions of others persecuted by the Nazis. As we confront a rise in antisemitism worldwide, it’s vital to learn from Holocaust history & ensure the memories of the victims & survivors live on.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Lynchburg College and a Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from California University of Pennsylvania.  She currently serves as the co-chair for the VATA Annual Meeting Committee and is ⬇️

but currently works alongside Sentara RMH Orthopedic providers and surgeons. She serves as a Clinical Preceptor for both James Madison University and Bridgewater College Athletic Training Programs.⬇️

The 2025 Clinical & Emerging Practice AT of the Year is Meghan Shifflett .   Meghan Shifflett currently serves as an Athletic Trainer at Sentara-RMH Orthopedics & Sports Medicine since 2016.  She has worked with James Madison University Recreation, Intramural & Club athletes⬇️

We 💙🧡 collaboration across our department! Dr. Erin Moore (MS of Athletic Training program) and Dr. Abby Fines (Lifetime Physical Activity) gave a great presentation on disability in athletic training at the 2025 VATA Annual Meeting. @VATAPR
