I received the Bodhivriksh award at the Spurtidhama Foundation, Bengaluru on 14th April. While I am quite vary of awards, this one was something special, where Ambedkar, the Buddha, and tested social activism of years met.

@ValerianRo the book is already out of print it seems. I had ordered the book from OUP office in Kolkata, they have informed it's not in print now. Wonder why print in so less numbers if readers are unable to access it.

Priyanka Jha, Sikha Chauhan, Sartik Baug and Parvez Alam were great hosts and discussants. I am still pondering over some of the intricate questions raised there.

@ValerianRo However I am differ with the your observation. You mentioned that Ashok Gopal's Part Apart book cover the whole Marathi literature of Babasaheb and on Babasheb. That was not true.

@Desh2908Pramod I did not claim in my book that Ashok Gopal covers the whole of the Marathi writings of Babasaheb Ambedkar as well as the entire corpus of writings of and on him. However, I feel that it is the best intellectual history that we have on Babasaheb Ambedkar so far.

Caste Discrimination in Church: Dalit Catholics, who make up 65% of the Catholic population in India, face discrimination within the Church. Out of 180 bishops, only 12 are Dalit, highlighting caste-based exclusion.

@PluralistPulse @Christo_Sena Why not persuade Catholic Church in India (including all rites-Latin, Syro-Malabar, Syro-Malankar) to conduct a caste census of its members, including their socio-economic conditions? It will be helpful to further the mandate of the Ranganath Misra Commission.

@PluralistPulse The Catholic Church in India pools together massive data with regard to its following. But officially Dalit/SC category rarely figures in this endeavour. However, rough estimates can be arrived at by focussing on the regions.
