I only collab with people I know & vibe with.. I get really uncomfortable with messages like this. I don't mind getting to know people to potentially collab; but asking me to collab because you are smaller than me... it makes me feel odd. 🫠

Let me clarify this since the DMs and comments have been… not so nice again.. (why does that always happen when a post blows up?)😕
I get messages like this more often than you’d think. I’m open to collabs and meeting new people, regardless of size..but if you come in demanding a reply or trying to guilt someone about their size, don’t expect an answer.
If I’m dealing with this, bigger creators are dealing with it tenfold. No one owes you their time or attention, and the “big streamers don’t reply” complaint ignores how unrealistic it is to answer everything. It definitely doesn’t justify coming into someone’s DMs with demands or guilt trips.
This example is exactly what not to do. I blurred their name to avoid a dogpile, even though this person has a pattern of negativity toward female presenting VTubers.
Also, I’m not a customer service rep for basic human decency.. I shouldn’t have to educate anyone on how to approach someone respectfully. Saying I should’ve “set boundaries” or taught them better is just missing the point.

May I vent about something?
I may delete my self promo channel in my discord server. I truly love celebrating others and supporting my community.. I just.. I dunno.. I am a touch frustrated because the people who post there aren't active anywhere else in my server, hell they don't even visit my streams. They paste their links and go. (To clarify, it is not that they have to come to my streams. I'm just explaining and using it as an example.)
It is just frustrating that people just paste their go live stuff there and then that is it. It is like..crickets elsewhere.
It's like.. I am sad because I have tried planning fun hang out nights and no one shows up but they just post in the self promo area. That's it. I planned a RE9 night and only 2 people showed up, which isn't inherently bad.. it is just.. Sad. Especially when I put the effort in. I want to do community nights in my server. But how can I when no one really shows but people are quick to use that channel only.. I dunno.
I'm sorry for ranting. I just feel.. sad and a bit defeated and a little lonely at times. Am I doing something wrong? Am I not good enough? What can I do to liven up my server? Do I just give up? I don't want to.. 🥺

Firstly.. wow, I didn't expect this to blow up. I know people say that when their post goes viral but truly, I didn't. (Long post incoming.)
Thank you for those who left kind words, advice, and shared their experiences. It was extremely validating. To those who left some.. not so nice comments saying that I'm "sympathy farming", that is a very wild assumption. I just wanted to vent about something that has been bothering me for awhile.
I did remove my discord link off my twitch and Twitter for awhile because I truly was debating what I wanted to do. I have been back and forth on it for weeks. I have decided to remove my promo channel as a whole. Not because people told me to. I want to remove it because it hasn't done any good nor has it actually given engagement outside of those posting it daily.
Personally, I love celebrating others. I love meeting new people and supporting them.. but it was clear that it wasn't a two way street. And not in the sense of them coming to my streams, but in the sense of them actually engaging in my community.
I have posted my link for my discord below for anyone who are interested in joining. I plan on making community events soon and have even a question bot that throws a daily question to keep conversations going.
