On a red carpet, you introduce celebrities yourself, you don’t hand the mic to them to introduce themselves. It’s not a panel session where people are there to tell their stories. Even with guests who aren’t celebrities, introducing them instantly elevates them and sets the tone. This is because it shows you’re in control, helps the audience immediately know who they’re looking at, keeps the flow smooth and lively, and just makes the whole moment feel more polished and important.
