One thing tomorrow night may well be is LONG. Extra time is very possible and I’ve watched many a semi final won by who so fresher in extra time. So our bench will have to play a part. Players like Bailey. Abraham and Maatsen in particular as well as Bogarde. Those players need to be ready when called upon. Only way the match isn’t long is if we score plenty of early goals. Otherwise even if Forest score we will not be out the game - we will have to score at least two to win the game so if they come in last 5 mins because of our subs then so be it. Never give up as this team have shown the will and strength to never give in - even against the best team in Surope we never gave in and nearly pulled off the best of comebacks

Both Onana and Kamara are great players who make a real difference when they’re fit and in the team. Injuries have been the main issue though. Kamara came on a free, but we could get good money for both - I’d cash in, get them off the wage bill and bring in some new talent. Thoughts?

The last time Aston Villa won a competitive game of football without either Amadou Onana or Boubacar Kamara in the starting lineup up was the 28th September 2025 against Fulham at home in the Premier League. Kamara was a late substitute in the 72nd minute.

Villa have quite rightly come in for a bit of stick over the last few days. But worth considering a bit of context. In the last 10 years (since PL financial rules came in), three clubs have qualified for the CL through the League and won a European trophy in the same season - Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool. That shows just what Villa are trying to juggle. Doing one of them would be a big achievement, doing both would be enormous.
