The thing about life is, you have to learn how to forgive yourself.
This is your first time on this planet, the first time you’re experiencing this thing called life.
The mistakes you’ll make won’t define you. Your willingness to learn from them, and do better will.
I’ve made mistakes in my life, many of which I truly regret. But regret is a feeling you need to sit with. Sitting with the feeling of regret fucking SUCKS. But you have to understand that you aren’t perfect, and you “could’ve, would’ve, should’ve” but you didn’t. So learn from it.
The first time you burned your hand on the hot stove, you felt that pain, you know you regret doing it. But now you know the repercussions. You learned from it! You have to apply that same principle to regrets in your life where you feel regret is holding you back from improving, and doing better.
Sit with the feeling of regret, mistakes, and imperfection. Don’t let it hinder you.
