Because I was the kid who hated PE, afraid of the ball for years. I knew the book would be good, I bought it and it sat on my dresser all year. And then I got an ARC of TOP STORY (Sept '23!!) and it looks amazing. So I dived in this week, facing my fear...2/5

@kelseybogan Our state conference was always in the summer but this year it was moved to February! I greatly appreciate being able to attend when I am on contract. I am becoming more and more protective of my off contract time.

This is in the back of my mind at every moment. Library world is going through something unprecedented and most outside of that world have no idea. I still hang on to the ideal that the right book in the right kid’s hands can change the world! #uniteagainstbookbans @aasl

A reminder that librarians and teachers are ALSO aunts, uncles, moms and dads, grandparents, sons and daughters and cousins. We are members of families and we care about our students' families, too.

A library that provides a well-rounded collection of books helps our kids be more effective in the workplace.
