I played at a college where the little things mattered. We had to wear matching practice gear. We had to be clean shaven. We had matching cleats. We warmed up in unison. We had a routine that we religiously stuck to. It was the standard. We were a unit. Some of you out there will say it's eyewash but it ALL matters. It ALL makes a difference. We were disciplined, structured, and a team in everything we did. And we won, a lot. 🏆

THE SANDLOT was released 33 years ago today. The iconic Fourth of July night game was shot with real fireworks, turning the scene into a practical, one-of-a-kind moment where the kids were actually playing under a live show.

Baseball is a life lesson in disguise. You’ll fail. A lot. You won’t control the outcome. You’ll get humbled fast. But if you stick with it… You learn discipline. You learn toughness. You learn how to respond. That’s why the game matters ⚾️💯

FINAL: TEXANS walk it off in the bottom of the 8th to win 2-1!! Trey Poe threw 6.1 IP, scattered 2 hits, 0 ER and 6K. Finished 3-4 at the plate and had the game winning hit! Jett Blackburn got the W on the mound in relief! We’ll be at Southlake on Saturday at 1:00. #NTNW

Great players bring the right approach every day no matter what. Wins are just a byproduct of the foundation you build. As a coach my job is to shoot them straight. If you tolerate a day off in prep you teach them that excellence is optional. It never is.

The biggest thing baseball taught me: It’s life in a uniform. Good days, bad days, and everything in between. Let go of what you can’t control. And commit to what you can. Your effort, attitude and response to failures will continue to shape who you are. So keep stacking days.

A coach who holds you accountable sees more in you than you currently see in yourself. That is not mean. That is a gift.

So many youth/high school baseball players are blessed to have great men and women coaching them. Here is a big thank you since you don’t get many. Thank you!

Underrated coaching truth: The best coaches aren’t obsessed with talent. They’re obsessed with effort. With attitude. With toughness. Because when it gets hard, that’s what still shows up.

Being pushed means you have potential. Silence means they've given up. Which would you rather have? Next time coach gets on you, say thank you. They still believe.
