this episode really demonstrates why robby shouldn't be in emergency medicine — unable to treat/assist his own patient because he's shutting down, for one. he's going to be a great doctor, but an environment that doesn't put as much pressure on him will allow him to flourish.

exactly... also the format makes it unrealistic for certain cast members to stay *forever* but mohan leaving in s3 is arguably more unrealistic because it means 1. they're doing another large timeskip (which i have massive qualms with) or 2. she's leaving partway through R4 year+

The idea that The Pitt is a show designed to rotate its cast in and out is demonstrably untrue. They literally timed S2 specifically so that Langdon, Dana, Whitaker, and Javadi could all be there again even though it would be realistic that none of them returned this season.
