People argue banning phones in schools is ‘too far’. But if those same phones are being used to watch violent content or even plan serious harm… at what point do we step in?

@HeathrowAirport The only complaint I have is the sun being up at 6am. I’m sure it’s going to be a good day. Have a good day.

If banning phones in schools reduces knife crime risk, why are we even debating it? Children’s safety should come before arguments about ‘overreach’.

I’ve seen the news about UK schools banning phones. Having spent a few minutes browsing social media today, may I humbly suggest extending the ban to include everyone under the age of 90?

Keir Starmer lacks the backbone, the honesty, and the curiosity to lead this great country. This whole affair shows exactly why we are heading in such a woeful direction under this Prime Minister. Britain deserves better.

The worst thing that happened to this country was the construction of the Channel Tunnel but then again who was in charge when it was happening. Says it all really.

@sophielouisecc The subject on mobile phones is getting completely boring now. There are a lot of socioeconomic issues for the fact that the government has decided to ban phones in schools just accept the reasons why. Jesus

@sophielouisecc I was born in 1988 went to school when discipline was discipline. There’s absolutely no discipline in schools in 2026. The evidence shows this. You need to do research. Please understand that gang violence is the biggest cause of knife crime but you say that it’s not correct

Dear old people I don’t need children to understand how phones in schools are impacting young people Because unlike you - I grew up with having a smart phone in school! I have more first hand experience of this than you

@sophielouisecc You've not had kids yet. When you do, then you can form an opinion on this subject. We see everyday the addiction of having your phone with you. It'll do them good to be without it and socialise.

@JackMFoster @FarmingUK @Tesco All about profits but yet their executives got a plus 20% pay rise but their employees that worked all through COVID and go above and beyond their job description every day get absolutely nothing in the form of a pay rise. Meanwhile their CEO gets a 20% pay rise.

If you’re a company as massive as @ArlaFoodsUK and your paying farmers peanuts to bottle milk for you then you should hang your heads in shame. Day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year and farmers, the ones that give us food are still being treat like 💩

So £70K a year sounds like a lot of money but when you’re paying nearly half this on a mortgage and then have other stuff to pay for it doesn’t go far but in the words of Sophie Corcoran it’s “greedy” because tube drivers are striking over safety critical issues

@sophielouisecc @DrHoenderkamp Really, so if someone gets stabbed it’s a “terrible decision”, clearly some people don’t understand that. Children in schools watching violent videos but yes the law “shouldn’t ban phones in schools “
