It sucks that the one Nintendo console in more than 20 years that can actually decently play 3rd party games is the one they decide to do this nonsense with. I was really hoping to finally have 3rd parties and everything on one system but I guess I'll just keep buying on PS5.

Idk if it's actually real or not but if this is and it's actually a GKC this gonna be like the 5th 3rd party game I skip out on. I was really excited for there to be a version with all of the updates on the cart too 💔

The people smugly gloating that young people will just have to 'find something else to do' in response to the social media bans are usually the exact same people who seethe with anger and make reports about 'loitering' whenever they have to share public spaces with teenagers.

Studies in AUS found that since the social media ban went into effect teenagers are significantly less educated on news and events and more ignorant on what’s going on in the world. This is the goal. Western govts saw the rise of the information age and are seeking to quash it

I feel like I'm not being dramatic in saying that this will kill kids. I turned to social media when I was 15 because I had no friends, and it saved my life. I can't imagine what it's like for today's kids, especially those who are LGBTQ+ and live in dangerous home environments.

My take is that it's fine to be a fan of something through watching playthroughs and such but you really can't expect your opinion of the game to hold the same value as someone who played it. Gameplay is the most essential part of a game which is something you cant judge watching

I used to play Xbox 360 late into the morning when I was in school. My parents found out and started turning the router off at night.
Amazingly they didn’t require a parliamentary majority and royal assent.

@NHS16bitrevolt It's part of the discussion when he tries to imply PS5 games aren't "true physical" just because you can't immediately play it. Most PS5 games contain the game while the majority of 3rd party games on Switch 2 have been GKCs which contain nothing.

Interesting how you'll conveniently leave out that the vast majority of PS5 games are fully playable just from having the disc. Installation was never the main problem, it was the reliance of the internet to even play your games.

The level of propaganda Sony has gotten away with to convince people their discs are still true physical media needs to be studied. The last console that could fully store and read games directly from discs was the Wii U. This whole war against GKC is performative as hell.

@Krexxal @Phil1UpCollects @DoesItPlay1 @Chris_TV_Live People buy physical for different reasons. If you personally only do it for storage reasons that's fine but you have to realise that a large portion of people also buy physical so that they actually have the game.

@Krexxal @Phil1UpCollects @DoesItPlay1 @Chris_TV_Live No, the issue was that GKCs contain no game data and require the internet to install anything at all. The vast majority of PS5 physial releases are fully playable just from installing from the disc. Some might have an issue with even having to do that but that isn't THE problem.

@Pluengwyn That's fair. Probably shouldn't have quoted this tweet specifically, I've just been seeing a rise of people saying the game is actually an underrated gem when there were so many problems with it. I do like the art direction, it's just the execution of it that I'm not a fan of.

@Wackiest10 @GnuGamePlus It’s not revisionism. The games, outside of the wild area, look wonderful. And even the wild area isn’t the greatest looking, it’s still way better than SV and it’s DLC. That’s what they’re saying. Galar still sucks, it just looks prettier than ugly ass Paldea.

We all know alola looks great but highkey, Galar was the last time pokemon really LOOKED like pokemon Y’know? The half-assed “realism”scarlet and violet went for looks worse everytime I see it, but I still find Swsh really nice to look at

@Wackiest10 It's not revisionism to say it had one of the best art directions in the series.
The problem was and always will be the wild areas, as well as the lack of new animations when that was sold as the reason for the dex cut.

@Pinkham_Artemis I do admit there are nice looking areas but overall I've never been a huge fan of the visuals. I like the art style itself, they just needed more time to actually execute it properly.

@Wackiest10 The art designs of these games especially the routes and towns and cities are impeccable and actually gorgeous........ until you get Wyndon and that's where this game starts to falter. Not being able to pull off Poke London was sad. Worse was not even trying to do Poke Madrid
