@clipthunder_ @nikgeneburn And to be fair, Tarkov’s issues aren’t just API related anyway. There are also pretty significant RAM problems, especially around texture streaming and memory leaks, which hurt performance regardless of whether it’s running on DX11 or DX12.

@clipthunder_ @nikgeneburn On top of that, migrating isn’t easy at all it can break major parts of the rendering pipeline or even the whole game if not done carefully. In many cases, it requires rewriting large parts of the engine, not just swapping out the API. So it’s a big technical and time investment.

@clipthunder_ @nikgeneburn Yeah, but it’s not just rendering. DirectX 11 is old and doesn’t use multi-core CPUs well. It bottlenecks on one thread. DirectX 12 spreads the work across cores, so it uses modern CPUs way better and reduces stutters. That is just one of the main reasons tho :)

Almost one week passed from 1.0 release. And what a week! This week was actual stress testing not only of our servers but also our mind and nerves for sure😅 But seeing you enjoying the game makes us feel better! As I mentioned, we plan to use this couple of months to prioritize and get more and more fixes and improvements into the game. Also there will be winter in Tarkov, new storyline quests, new event. Sometime after there will be introduction of seasonal character with the whole new seasons system. We plan to have traditional New Year TarkovTV in December - all of the additional info will be there👌
