Due to the forecasted storms, tonight's state sectional basketball game between Webster Groves and Sikeston has been postponed and rescheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, March 15 at 2 p.m. to prioritize the safety of everyone involved. Doors will open at 1 p.m. This decision was made in collaboration with MSHSAA, Sikeston, and Webster Groves. All tickets purchased for tonight’s game will be valid for tomorrow’s game. If you’ve signed up for the pep bus, you will receive an email with updated details. We will share information about ticket refunds as soon as we have more details. Thank you for your understanding, and we’re excited for tomorrow’s game!

The Webster Groves School District is pleased to announce that Dr. Patrick Dempsey has been selected as the next principal of Bristol Elementary School, effective July 1. Dr. Dempsey is currently the assistant principal at Edgar Road Elementary in Webster. Previously, he served as an assistant principal in the Lindbergh School District and RItenour School District. Before that, he was a middle school science teacher at Hixson Middle for six years. Dr. Dempsey holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Maryville University, along with master’s degrees in educational leadership and educational technology. He has expressed great enthusiasm about joining the Bristol community. "I'm truly honored to join the Bristol Elementary community and excited to get to know the students, staff, and parents," said Dr. Dempsey. "Bristol has a strong tradition of academic excellence, and I look forward to working together to build on that foundation. As a team, we’ll create a supportive and engaging learning environment where all students are valued.”

Members of @StatesmenHoops and coach Justin Mathes promoted Douglass Night on @FOX2now, happening tomorrow, February 28. This event celebrates Douglass High School, which started in 2007 to honor St. Louis County’s only accredited African-American school until its closure. Players wear jerseys of notable Douglass alumni and are decked in purple and gold. Join us tomorrow night for the girls’ game at 5:45 and the boys’ game at 7:30!
