Back when the deal with Stuttgart was completed on 22 August 2023, the exchange rate looked like this: 💶 Transfer Fee: €25,000,000 📈 GBP/EUR Rate: 1.1708 At that rate, the signing cost West Ham: 💷 £21,353,262 📉 But what if the deal happened today? Today’s rate: 📈 GBP/EUR Rate: 1.1594 The same €25m transfer would now cost: 💷 £21,562,877 👉 That’s an extra £209,615! All from a small movement in the exchange rate.
