We join the entire Fayette County Public Schools community in mourning the loss of Dr. Mike Brown, Vice Chairman of the Board of Education and dedicated representative of District 2. With over 40 years in education, Dr. Brown’s service to students, educators, and families has left an indelible mark. His wisdom, compassion, and commitment to student success will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of working with him. Dr. Brown was also a former mayor of Oakland and a devoted supporter of West Junior High School. We are forever grateful for his leadership and lasting legacy. 🕊️ Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones during this time.💙💛
