We have the technology to mute a meeting attendee. This leads me to believe we have the technology to turn off their camera, as well, yet here we are letting people accidentally turn their phone camera on and having no way to help them out before something mortifying happens

20 yrs ago today @carolmaemae1 founded the #PedPC program @ChildrensPgh. Now, we see over 10k patients per year, have trained 13 peds fellows, mentored learners of all backgrounds, & have have 2 NIH funded scientists. And today, we became a division in @PittPediatrics. #soproud

So grateful that I got to work with Dr. Colleen Mathews during her PHO fellowship. This plant with the initials of all of our shared patients over the last 3 years was the most thoughtful gift 🥺 She’s simply the best and I’m THRILLED she’s staying with us as faculty!

@DrRissman This is such a disservice. So many, providers and patients alike, could benefit from more clearly understanding the role of hospice. I’m so sorry this has been his (and your family’s) experience

I’m at a loss for words when my grandfather’s geriatrician says that hospice only gets involved when it’s the last few days of life. He’s 102. There are DNR orders. The goal is to stay home. Hospice ≠ death. Hospice helps to support a good + comfortable remaining life.
