So, it's Monday again, and a good moment to remind you that this platform is rotten, and it's time to move on. The app below enables you transfer your things from this cesspool to The Better Place (haven't used myself, but people say good things about it). blueark.app/en-us/

Using the new Edhiphy tool, I looked at the most-discussed philosophers in leading philosophy journals, decade by decade from the 1890s to 1970s. Bernard Bosanquet, F. H. Bradley, and Henri Bergson used to be huge! schwitzsplinters.blogspot.com/2024/11/philos…

"Claiming ‘everyone is neurodivergent’ is like saying ‘I don’t see race’—it erases real struggles. Fairness doesn’t mean ignoring differences; it means recognizing them. Privilege lets some close their eyes, but for others, these distinctions define daily challenges.

Consider this case. Some professors are evaluating students with AI generated quizzes. However, the professors don’t tell the students that their evaluations are AI generated. Are the professors committing a moral wrongdoing? #teaching #education #technology

@TuomasPernu @TheCrimsonPete I saw you say only big acts count. But I still think it's a mistake to leave off The Dillinger Escape Plan - Sugar Coated Sour (they're not *not* big); and The Faceless - An Autopsy

Interesting. According to a new result, studying philosophy makes people better at thinking and arguing, and better at assessing different points of view. Creme de la creme of the disciplines. Blimey! So, now more philosophy to everybody, right?

Philosophers say that studying philosophy makes people more rigorous, careful thinkers. But is that that true? In a large dataset (N = 122,352 students) @daft_bookworm and I find evidence that it is!🧵
