Lovely trade tasting with Brendan Hawker, winemaker at @yeringstn in Australia’s Yarra Valley. Everything I tried, from entry level “Little Yering” up to the tiny production Reserve, was spot on in quality and typicity for this excellent region in Victoria. Well worth seeking!

Hey wine trade friends - is there a rose glut now? It’s late July, I visited the large Denver store I used to curate, and I only found three 2022s on the shelf. By now, when I ran the place, I’d have the shelves full of current vintage. Is everyone backed up a year, of what?

A pre-surgery splurge of the 2015 El Nido/Clio pair, both 2015s. Both lovely - Clio nearing its peak, El Nido could easily go several more years. If I die and go to heaven, hopefully they’ll be serving more of these :) #wine #jumilla #spanishwine
