The new "small-scale" ensemble for Northampton has popped up on Block 7D.
NNDAB has three services on board currently.
At the time the snapshot was taken, one of the services appeared not to have an audio stream yet.
The first transmissions from the forthcoming UK "small-scale" ensemble for Southampton have been reported briefly on Block 9B. SOUTHAMPTON DAB was reported to have six audio services on board during these initial tests.
The UK regulator has awarded "small-scale" licences for all but one of the areas that were advertised in Round Five. Biggleswade & North Hertford was not mentioned among today's announcements.
In Switzerland, the public-service broadcaster SRG/SSR has announced that it will cease broadcasting its services on FM (Band II) on December 31st 2024. According to its announcement, FM now accounts for less than 10% of all listening.

The new UK "small-scale" ensemble for the area advertised as Hull West has popped up on Block 9B. Labelled Hull, the ensemble has thirteen services on board.

In Spain, the national public-service broadcaster RNE is to begin using DAB+ and effectively relaunch Digital Audio Broadcasting in Spain. The move, announced on its X (formerly Twitter) feed, will be the subject of a presentation at 12:00 CET February 13th 2024 on RTVEplay.

The new UK "small-scale" ensemble for Bedford has popped up. In2DAB Bedford currently has three audio services on board. Two of the services use "original-flavour" DAB. The third uses DAB+. Snapshot added.
Ofcom has revoked the licence awarded to the operator of the small-scale ensemble for Swansea. The operator considers the transmission site it originally proposed is now no longer feasible. Ofcom has stated that it intends to re-advertise the area in Round Six.
Ofcom has revoked the licence awarded for Warminster, Devizes & Trowbridge. One proposed transmission site would require further civil engineering work and planning consent, which would not be completed within the 18-month statutory window.
The new "small-scale" ensemble for Aberdeen North is reported to have popped up on Block 9C. Aberdeen DAB is reported to have one Test DAB+ service on board currently, running at 72 kbit/s.
On the UK ensemble D1 National, the service Classic FM has switched to DAB+ and is now broadcasting at 64 kbit/s. Three existing DAB+ services have increased their bitrates from 32 to 40 kbit/s - Capital UK, Gold UK. and Heart UK. Snapshot updated.
