One of the reasons Nami is one of my favorite characters in One Piece. She had the right to hate Jinbe, hate all of fishmen for the atrocities Arlong committed to her and her family. Yet, she forgave Jinbe and never once generalized the fishmen as her enemies, having only hatred for Arlong for what he did. She even forgave Hatchi prior to this in Sabaody. Nami represents the exact opposite of Arlong, who despised every human for what a few did to him and his people. Nami refused to do the same and that makes her such a strong and well written character. One that would not allow herself to hate an entire group for the actions of a few. #nami #onepiece
