Competitive trading and Professional (real) trading are RADICALLY different. +143%. Lets wrap up 2024! 🥳 🥂 Unlike real trading, which is more similar to a solo-marathon where it's just you and the market... Being in a trading competition means your goal is not to achieve stable returns through time. No: you want to WIN the race! As you can see from the latest part of my 2024 World Cup Championship Verified Equity Curve, after hitting a top at around 200%, December has not been free of challenges. The competitive nature of Trading in the Championships led me to purposefully choose to increase the risk profile in order to have higher chances to give a big final boost to the overall performance. But that's the reality of trading: Increasing the risk profile can always work in your favor (reward), or against (draw-down)! This year, unlike 2021 and 2022, but similarly to 2023, increasing risk has backfired. What played a role in the backfire is also all the psychological challenges that naturally occur when you have "all eyes on you". Trading is full of animal spirits already: imagine putting those spirits on a public competition! So, to wrap up this 2024, I'm happy and grateful to still having achieved a great performance in this stressful and competitive environment. Championships are not about who is "the best trader". There is no such thing as a "best trader". It's more of a "stress-test". It's about proving that your edge, your experience, your strategy can withstand and perform well regardless of the added psychological burden (and sky high commission, lol). And I'm happy to say my team and I proved once again that our approach can do it. For the 8th competition in a raw and 4th year in a raw. I hope and wish you got valuable lessons in your 2024 and that 2025 you will be able to reap the fruits. @FCtrader88 Now THAT is weird. 😂 I didn’t take any trades recently, my performance is still the same! In fact today I’m back exactly where I was. For some reason every once in a while the leaderboards of the Robbins cup seem to bug. 🤦🏻‍♂️ Here’s the current track record as a reference!

Closed another position today in profit, still 7 trades open with 4 of them getting really close to closing time. The other 3 are about half way through the market cycle. I think with the remaining news releases this week, we'll end up with a few more new positions. I can feel there's going to be lots more volatility in the next couple days. Our friend Patrick fell from the standings in today's update unfortunately. I really hope he's alright, I like that guy. My guess is he took too big of a sized trade to try and climb the ranks quickly. 4th and 5th are now in the 20% range. It's harder than you think to maintain and consistently profit in a trading account, especially with so many eyes watching. Anytime I see someone jump up out of no where in rank on the standings, I know they took a gamble trade just to get up there. They usual follow up with another gamble trade that ends up folding them. You can go through all my updates and see the names that were high up and disappeared. It's the small consistent traders you have to worry about. If they know what they're doing with scaling risk you don't stand a chance against them. I say that because the bigger their account grows, the bigger their profits grow and the risk % remains the same as it was from the beginning. As a trader, you're nothing without risk management.

Is there a “best trading strategy”? Yes: the one that is best for YOU. It’s crucial to find a mentor who isn’t just teaching you concepts or entry patterns. But who teaches you how te adapt it to yourself and to your own unique psychology.
