My wife was asleep when I got home at 4 AM.
Garbage truck shift. North Dakota January. The kind of cold that makes your teeth hurt and your soul go quiet.
I sat in the driveway for twenty minutes.
Not praying. Not thinking. Just sitting in the kind of silence that happens when everything you built is already on fire and you haven’t admitted it yet.
Every man has a moment like that.
Engine idling. Life burning. Pretending the smoke is fog.
David had that moment. First Samuel 30.
Came home to Ziklag. Found ashes. Wives gone. Children taken. Every possession, smoke.
And his own men picked up stones.
Not Philistines. Not Saul’s army.
HIS men. The ones who bled with him. Slept in caves with him. Left everything for him.
Now they want to kill him.
That’s not a bad day. That’s the end of the world.
Here’s where most men split into two camps.
Camp one: Become the fire.
Burn the marriage. Torch the friendships. Salt the earth. Alfred told Bruce Wayne “some men just want to watch the world burn.”
He was right. Destruction has a rhythm. You can’t fail at something you already burned.
Camp two: Fake the faith.
Post a verse. Smile at church. Tell the men’s group you’re “trusting the process.” Quote Romans 8:28 like a man reading his own eulogy.
Camp two is more dangerous.
Because nobody confronts that guy. He looks like faith. Smells like surrender.
He’s just the Joker in a polo shirt.
David chose neither.
“But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.”
One verse. No twelve steps. No podcast. No accountability group.
He grabbed God the way a drowning man grabs a rope.
Then he asked one question: “Shall I pursue?”
God said yes.
He pursued. He fought. He recovered all.
Same day. Ashes still warm.
The fire that destroyed Ziklag didn’t make David a victim.
It made him a king.
Your Ziklag is burning right now. I know because mine was too.
I wrote about it this week. What the two camps look like. What David actually did. And what I almost became sitting in that driveway.

Three years ago, I was the smartest Christian in the room.
Or so I thought.
I'd discovered this teacher, won't name him, but if you're in the "hidden Bible knowledge" corners of X, you know the type. He had charts. Timelines. Greek word studies that made seminary professors look like Sunday school dropouts.
And he had a hook:
"What the modern church won't tell you about [insert doctrine]."
I was hooked.
It started innocently. A YouTube video. Then a book. Then a private Discord where the "serious students" gathered.
Within six months, I couldn't listen to my own pastor anymore.
His sermons felt... basic. Shallow. Like he was feeding us milk while I was feasting on meat.
I'd sit in the pew mentally correcting him. "If he only understood the original Greek here..."
I wasn't being sanctified.
I was being isolated.
And I didn't see it because I felt smarter than I'd ever felt in my Christian life.
My wife asked me a simple question:
"Has all this studying made you love Jesus more, or just made you love being right?"
I got defensive. Angry, even.
Because deep down, I knew the answer.
I could chart the seventy weeks of Daniel. I could debate the Nephilim.
But I hadn't prayed—really prayed—in months.
I'd become a theological collector instead of a disciple.
THE FIVE SYMPTOMS I MISSED (That You're Missing Too)
Looking back, the red flags were neon. If you're in the early stages of what I went through, here's what you're experiencing right now:
1. You're Chasing the "Secret"
The content you consume always promises "What they won't tell you." Hidden knowledge. Lost books.
The trap: God doesn't hide truth from the humble. He hides it from the proud. (Matthew 11:25)
2. You Need Extra Books to Prop It Up
My teacher loved the Book of Enoch. Not as historical context—as required reading.
The trap: "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." (Isaiah 8:20, KJV)
3. You Feel Superior to "Average Christians"
This was the most intoxicating part. I'd scroll through Christian X and think, "These people have no idea."
The trap: "Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth." (1 Corinthians 8:1, KJV)
4. You're Poisoned Against Plain Preaching
I couldn't sit under normal teaching anymore. Expository sermons felt boring.
The trap: The gospel that saves is simple enough for a child. If you need a PhD to understand your teacher's "real" message, you're learning gnosticism.
5. It Produces Charts, Not Holiness
Here's the test I failed: I could draw you a timeline of the end times. But I couldn't tell you the last time I'd wept over my sin.
The trap: "By their fruits ye shall know them." (Matthew 7:20, KJV)
THE WAY OUT
I didn't leave because I got smarter.
I left because I got desperate.
One night, after another argument with my wife about my "studies," I broke.
I prayed the most honest prayer of my life:
"God, if I'm wrong, show me. Even if it humiliates me. I don't want to be right. I want to be Yours."
Within a week, the scales fell.
I deleted the Discord. Unsubscribed from the channels. Threw out the books.
And I went back to my church and wept through an entire sermon on the prodigal son.
If you're reading this and feeling defensive, you're where I was.
Run this test: Fail two of the symptoms above, and walk away before you lose three years like I did.
I'm not writing this from a high horse. I'm writing this from the ditch.
Here's what I came back to:
Jesus. Crucified. Risen. Coming again.
Repent. Believe. Be baptized. Make disciples.
Love God. Love neighbor. Die to self.
That's it.
No secret knowledge required. No hidden books. No elite club.
Just a bloody cross and an empty tomb.
And if that feels too simple, you're already in the trap

Today broke my heart 💔 a beautiful young mother who has left behind a baby girl - she isn’t even 3 months old. A family totally devastated. A father carrying the coffin of his daughter. No family should have to endure such pain. The murderer.. a 41 year old monster Mohammed Azim with several past convictions including 3 rapes and manslaughter.. 2 prison terms BOTH of which he was RELEASED EARLY - free to MURDER Lily. An absolute and total failure by successive governments to prioritise our citizens safety. Today has made me even more determined to fight for justice and the protection of Women and Children in this country! If I spend the rest of life fighting to stop another family suffering as the Whitehouse family did today.. then that is what I will do. ENOUGH. Protect Us. Protect our Children 🩷 @pinkladies_uk @RestoreBritain_ @RupertLowe10 @reformparty_uk

I spent 23 of my 29 years in hijab.
For 18 of those years I was a "good" religious Muslim girl in full chador, a sheet from head to toe. I wore it from age 8 to 18.
I have never in my life felt more miserable and small than when I didn’t have the most basic right to decide what goes on my own body. I have never felt more degraded than sweating under layers of cloth while fasting in the heat, watching men live freely and enjoy a nice summer breeze. I have never felt more robbed than as a little girl staring at boys on bikes and skates, wondering what it feels like to move freely, to feel the wind in your hair.
My freedom came at a huge price, but I paid it. And I would pay it again.
You call me, and women like me, "cheap."
Cheap is not a woman who rips off what was forced onto her. Cheap is the system that convinces girls their bodies and everything belong to men and to a state. Cheap is an ideology that needs control over women’s hair to feel powerful.
I walked away from men who decided for me.
I walked away from being brainwashed and kept on a leash by a religion that demands my obedience to a fake criminal prophet and a cruel god used to keep me down.
You can cling to that cage if you want and call me "cheap". But what you are is a pathetic loser.

Hallitus on osallistunut seurakunnan turvallisuusresurssien vahvistamiseen. Toissapäivänä uutisissa kerrottiin, kuinka Lapissa on häiriköity juutalaistaustaista yrittäjää.

Monilla miehillä on vastaavia ongelmia.
Tee jotain oman hyvinvointisi parantamiseksi. Suuret muutokset lähtevät aina pienestä. Tee se, tee se, tee se. Pystyt siihen! ❤️🩹🙏🏻✨️

The world debates peoplehood and statehood for some communities, yet completely ignores the Arameans — one of the oldest Christian nations on earth.
From the early Islamic conquests to the Ottoman and later nationalist regimes, their ancestral lands in Aram and Mesopotamia (Aram Naharaim) — stretching from southeast Turkey to Syria and Lebanon — were taken, and their people largely driven into exile.
For centuries they endured persecution and massacres under Arab, Turkish, and Kurdish powers alike, yet they still speak Aramaic — their sacred language, once spoken by Jesus himself.
Today I met a remarkable man, @ShadiKhalloul, who has worked tirelessly to have the Aramean identity and people recognized by Israel in 2014 — the only country in the Middle East that truly values and officially recognizes the Arameans.
When will their home countries in this region follow this example of respect and recognition?
And when will the Western world finally stand up for this ancient nation before the endangered Arameans and their Aramaic language disappear from history?

@LutheranLeftist It isn't complicated.
It isn't Christian.
It is a murderous ideology that abrogates the 10 commandments.
(How can we be commanded "Do not steal" if God does not acknowledge that we possess property?)
It shatters the home, replacing family with state.

It’s now very evident that the border invasion was intentional to create massive violent crime and introduce digital ID/currency as the government solution to the government organized problem.
Trump ruined the plan to enslave America.
Agenda 2030 is now considered further from becoming a reality than it was a year ago with less than a 20% chance of being implemented in time.
A true answer to prayer!

CHARLIE KIRK: A MODERN-DAY CHRISTIAN MARTYR
The tragic murder of Charlie Kirk yesterday is no different than the stoning of the first Christian martyr, Stephen, recorded in the Bible in Acts 7. Stephen openly challenged the religious system of his day, successfully proving that Jesus was indeed the Jewish Messiah. The scribes and Pharisees could not overcome his arguments, so they killed him.
Likewise, Charlie Kirk was a defender of biblical truth and very successfully argued against the “wokeness” and insanity of the modern left. They couldn’t out-argue him, so they killed him.
And it wasn’t a single gunman who fired the shot. The liberal media has been characterizing anyone who disagrees with their new religion as Hitler and a fascist. They are just as guilty as Saul, who held the cloaks of those who stoned Stephen to death. They may not have pulled the trigger, but they armed the gunman with hate that removed the safety and allowed the weapon to be fired.
This new religion calls all evil good and all good evil (Is. 5:20). It is the exact thing Jesus spoke of in John 3:19–20, where He said, “Men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” Many will relegate Charlie’s murder to being a political assassination, but this was pure evil fighting against good. Just as Jesus said, everyone who does evil hates the light because it exposes their evil deeds.
This murder was evil, pure and simple, and it’s hypocritical for those who lit the fire against all that is good and fanned the flames to now condemn the destruction that their own rhetoric produced.
Many will see this as a sign that we have lost the nation, but in truth, it is just the opposite. This shows that the ungodly left recognizes they are losing, and that the only way they can survive is to silence all opposition. Charlie Kirk was a once-in-a-generation catalyst who reached millions, especially young people, with a message of hope, and started a movement that will long outlive him.
I believe that just as the first-century church responded to the persecution that came against them by praying that the Lord would give them boldness to proclaim the Gospel even more (Acts 4), so the younger generation that was so inspired by Charlie will take up the torch and multiply Charlie’s efforts a millionfold.
Just as the name of the organization Charlie started (Turning Point), this will be a turning point in our nation. Those who have been on the sidelines are going to come off the bench and get involved in the fight.
And just as Saul, who became Apostle Paul, was pricked in his heart until he finally encountered Jesus on the road to Damascus, many who have been promoting the insanity that wars against all common sense are recognizing today that this cannot be the way forward for this nation. I believe many are looking in the mirror to see that they have become something even they don’t like. They are primed for a Damascus road encounter with the only One who can change the hearts of men, and the Lord will bring good out of this evil as only He can.
As for Charlie, he is more alive today than he ever was. The Scriptures reveal Jesus as seated at the Father’s right hand, but when Stephen was stoned to death, he saw Jesus standing at the Father’s right hand. I believe that this was Jesus honoring the first Christian martyr. Likewise, I imagine Jesus and all of heaven standing and honoring a modern-day hero and martyr of the Christian faith as Charlie entered into his heavenly reward.
It is absolutely miraculous what Charlie was able to accomplish in his short thirty-one years. It testifies that this was not just a man, but God working through a man who influenced a nation so strongly that the President, political leaders, news outlets, and even baseball games all rose to the occasion and honored this young man who willingly put himself in the cross hairs of an ungodly few for the sake of doing what is right.
We pray for his wife, Erika, and his two young children, who will bear the loss of a husband and father for the rest of their lives. But we take courage knowing that just as the Pharisees didn’t extinguish the message by killing the messenger, so the truth that Charlie articulated will live on in the hearts of all those whose lives he touched.
Great is Charlie’s reward!
Andrew Wommack
