@HeerJeet To be fair, Yglesias is a real journalist and a real thinker and you aren’t.
English

@blucomazz @SirGobbersworth @revhowardarson Of course we would have, for the same reasons we dropped them on Japan.
English

@WorstPlace @SirGobbersworth @revhowardarson Lmaooo you actually think we wouldn’t have dropped one on Germany if it had been ready in time?
English

@blucomazz @SirGobbersworth @revhowardarson The point of developing the bomb faster than Germany was to prevent them from becoming the only power with an atomic weapon, not to nuke them indiscriminately.
English

@SirGobbersworth @revhowardarson Japan killed more civilians than the Holocaust in China alone. Germany still edges them out, but if Germany deserved it so did Japan. The difference is that the scientists were white and Imperial Japan only killed Asians so they don’t matter as much…
English

@gina_scooter By the movie's own admission, Oppenheimer is not notable for theorizing black holes or being responsible for any particular novel breakthrough in atomic research. He's notable exclusively for managing a project that brought the A Bomb to life in time to commit war crimes.
English

@davidsirota Have you not read Rubin since 2015? She’s further left than you.
English

That horrible sound you hear? Yeah, that’s the sound of the Overton Window being further shifted to the right.
mike casca@cascamike
what are we doing here folks
English

@theurbanjuror @Iggy_Dogg @whstancil Why would I have lied about my heritage? What a weird accusation to make.
English

@theurbanjuror @Iggy_Dogg @whstancil there's no reason to care about it at this point, but that cuts both ways!
English

@bobloblawbb @awkwrdlyantisoc @samknight1 Wasn't condescending. Glenn is the king of narrowly avoiding the topic at hand while knocking down strawmen. In this case, his ridiculous assertion that everyone is trying to strip MAGA chuds of their rights. What's that to do with anything?
English

@InezFeltscher @AwfulPundits Hey what year were women allowed to open bank accounts on their own
English

@AwfulPundits Nice way to skate over the fact that you got so much historically wrong in your ego-puffed little tweet lol
English

‘The franchise was granted in some states’ and “I do not believe women, as a class, have ever been “oppressed” in America.”
Yes, this is silly.
Inez Stepman ⚪️🔴⚪️@InezFeltscher
This is silly, but also historically false as a matter of fact. 20 states granted the franchise to women b4 1920. & restrictions have to be understood w/I the context of others, eg based on property holding (ofc race too, but that’s the one historical fact the left seems to know)
English

@TheLizMac @AwfulPundits Literally everything we know about how domestic violence works. Women weren't allowed to have bank accounts until 1974, the same time that the first domestic violence shelters started springing up in America. You are way out of your depth.
English

@AwfulPundits Whats your basis for implying women were beaten more often in the past and had fewer options for escape than modern women?
English

Until 1920, women were literally disenfranchised as a class in America. They were violently beaten and given no recourse. You can choose not to believe this, but it is a matter of fact and historical record.
Inez Stepman ⚪️🔴⚪️@InezFeltscher
I do not believe women, as a class, have ever been “oppressed” in America. Oppressor-oppressed is an impoverished way to view the codependent relationship between the sexes that completely dispenses with any notion of feminine power.
English

@whstancil @unclecaviar Don't you have billionaires to defend somewhere
English

@bobloblawbb @awkwrdlyantisoc @samknight1 Like, your reading of this tweet makes his point even more ludicrous
English

@AwfulPundits Conservatives go ten minutes without gushing about how much they love domestic violence challenge
English

@Theo_TJ_Jordan @nashdelirium @hulsey_ryan @arthurwatkins @wil_da_beast630 Dear God you're a tedious moron
English

@nashdelirium @hulsey_ryan @arthurwatkins @wil_da_beast630 My question here wasn't about state actors. It was about the concept presented: if a man can step into the shoes of a woman for categorization purposes, why can Rachel not step into her own shoes and be considered a black woman for any similar designation? What's the difference?
