@Yukime_VT At that point if you still want the art you can tell them you will pay for the finished piece on completion- you'll usually get it. Just waiting once buyer protection is gone? You'll get strung along or ghosted 9 times out of 10, they have no actual incentive to actually finish.

@Yukime_VT Friendly reminder: Paypal buyer protection only lasts for 6 months. You have no recourse after that. If they just never finish your comm you're SoL, they can just keep your money. If you hit 5.5 weeks and its not done inform the artist you are about to initiate a refund and do it

I’m so tired of seeing artists I commissioned over a year ago (almost two years) not finishing the art I commissioned and just watching them post new art pieces all the time and the responses I get are: “I’m sorry, I’ll get to it after *insert life event*” Or “I’m sorry, I am on hiatus” And “I can’t right now, I don’t have the energy” I don’t mind waiting, truly, but when I see you guys posting art and not working on the art I commissioned over a year ago (almost two years), it kinda just sucks. Artists, please finish the art people commission you. Just because they are willing to wait, it doesn’t mean they will wait forever. I really don’t want to ask for refunds but at this point…
