every roadblock I hit with the pilot makes me feel more and more confident that I need to release it, and more and more hopeful that it will do well. It doesn’t make sense that I would’ve had to fight for a 20 minute video so much all for nothing - there is no achievement without hardship. I really believe in my heart it will do well even if it feels like the forces of the world are against it right now.

What do you want from me though? Should I go to silent as if the past few years of silence worked out well for Hytale? I need to communicate at least a little bit to see if this is worth fighting for. If the community would have been completely upset to what I have been saying I would have just not taken the shot at it. Everyone is asking questions and I’m giving answers. I understand your concerns but I’m just replying to people, not making big front-page posts. I’m not promoting any kind of campaign to add pressure. YouTubers are having fun with it and its fine. It’s a great ongoing story! Im not their dad, they can do whatever they want 😅 I explained the low chances multiple times already, but it’s also the ONLY chance of something happening. Game is 100% dead otherwise. Their team is already laid off and moving on. No one would buy a dying IP with no team. The longer this takes, the lower the value of the IP goes. Whatever price I would end paying, no one else would pay that much, it makes no business sense. Legacy engine makes no sense for any other businesses than us because of its current PC only limitations. Everyone wants crossplatform these days at all costs. I’m not applying any extra pressure or expectations by replying, just discussing with community to see if they agree and see if I 100% want to get into this mess. Reality is I don’t need this to make my life better or make more money, all of my businesses are running profits and I have great amount of free time. I have beat the game of life already. Why would I complicate my current happiness? If this fails I have nothing to promote, I will go back to my own things and be content for life. This is not an opportunity for me, this is my way of giving back what I was given years ago. I believe in Hytale and I think it’s literally the only chance for players to see it. It would come with sacrifices on my end that will potentially make my life shitty for a long while. Part of me wants Riot to say no, not gonna lie 😂

To clarify, it would require a LOT less money to get to something that could be released in « Very Early Access » with temporarily removed features. We could just get the community involved ASAP in modding / bug reports / feature requests / crowdfunding and find ways to use Shared Source and Open Source with cash bounties to speed up production and keep team relatively small. Guys, please, this is important, keep your expectations extremely low because usually when large companies shutdown a project like this the chances of revival are next to impossible. Yes, I made the decision, I will give my best to save Hytale. Even if it’s 1% chance. Its the least I can do to the same community that gave me the opportunity to be where I am today. I will reach out, however remember it will take a while, give it some time. It will take months to get answers and months to get done. I will share as much as possible as I go through the process. 🫡
