I’ve heard that many Guntōs were sent to the United States during and after the war.
I’ve seen photos of those in museums, but I wonder how private owners are preserving theirs.
The Starr Army revolvers manufactured by the Starr Arms Company in the United States were imported in large numbers to Japan, where they were stamped with Japanese inscriptions and used in conflicts such as the Boshin War.
A considerable number of them still exist in Japan today.
