The Jesus way is not loud enough for our addiction to spectacle. Forgive quietly. Tell the truth gently. Serve without being seen. Pray when nobody claps. That hidden life is not wasted.

The pattern usually starts before the behavior. Before the scroll, there is an ache. Before the sharp word, there is fear. Before the hiding, there is shame. God is not only after the habit. He is after the heart beneath it.

Before you open your phone, ask: What am I trying to avoid feeling? What am I hoping this distraction gives me? What would it look like to bring that ache to God first?

What is the prayer you keep editing before God? Not because He cannot handle it. Because you are still trying to sound like the version of yourself you wish you were.

Dear God, Help me to stay firmly rooted in You and in Your Word. When I’m tempted to care about what others think, remind me that only Your opinion truly matters. “The fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.” (Proverbs 29:25). Teach me to live for Your approval, not the world’s. Ground me in truth so that my identity is secure in who You say I am. Thank You for loving me so deeply that You gave Your Son, Jesus, to die for me. That alone defines my worth. Help me to walk confidently in that truth today, knowing I am priceless in Your eyes and fully known and loved by You. In Jesus’ name, amen. 🙏🏾

@sadeverafters Purpose can feel missing when life gets too quiet or too heavy. I don't think God makes throwaway people. Praying that becomes easier to believe.
