Wanted to play on an area legion team, not my club team my last summer before college ball. My parents pushed me to play club instead, so I did. Looking back, wouldn’t change a thing. It got me ready for college & I spent a summer with a team that had 3 future big leaguers on it

The summer before a kids freshman year of college will predict if he will earn playing time or be a portal participant. The player that gets it, will use the summer before as a business trip. They will be addicted to the weight room and playing as many competitive games as possible. They will walk on campus in shape, stronger than they've ever been and will have played as many competitive games as possible.

Ichiro was a great baseball player but even greater human being.
In 2009, 5 years after beating George Sisler's hitting record, Ichiro was in St Louis for the ASG and took the opportunity to visit Sisler's grave and lay down flowers for him. So much respect for the game.

As much as I was hesitant, the Pitch Clock and other nuances around it has sped up games drastically. I think that you lost a load of non-baseball people when games were almost a minimum of three hours
